Contracts Specialist

Contracts Specialist will be the key member of United Oilfield Services contracts and commercial team.

Key Responsibilities

As Contracts Specialist your main responsibilities will include:

  • Contract administration in accordance with company commercial policies and procedures.
  • Cost/value reporting and end life forecasting on project in accordance with company policies and procedures such that the appropriate values are reflected in the cost reports and management accounts.
  • Submission of variation and contract amendment requests and claims in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Agreement of final accounts and close out of contracts in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Administration and documentation preparation of sub-contracts in accordance with relevant company policies and procedures.
  • Provision of commercial and contractual advice to reporting officer.
  • Preparation of cost reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Receive allocate and reconcile monthly project expenditure from Accounting.
  • Control of project costs
  • Evaluation and settlement of sub-contractor claims.
  • Input to project risk management techniques.
  • Preparation of prequalification and tender documents (as appropriate).
  • Furthermore, when the workload permits, the incumbent will be expected to give support in other areas of business development.

Liaison with Accounting for:

  • Project invoicing in accordance with terms and conditions of contract such that cash position is maximized.
  • Submission of contractual notices in accordance with the terms of the contract.
  • Ensuring that bonds and guarantees are released in accordance with their terms.
  • Ensuring that payments to company are made in accordance with the terms of the contract.
  • Preparation of correspondence in connection with project contractual matters.
  • Receive project expenditure from Accounting.


Experience/Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to degree level.
  • Oil & Gas industry experience in a similar role essential.
  • Contract Administration
  • Cost reporting, Tender spreadsheet and Schedule
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word essential.
  • Business Awareness. 

Interpersonal skills, including but not limited to: 

  • Strong spoken and written communication skills in Polish and English language.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to function independently and in a team.
